Employee Spotlight: Meet Peter

We’re kicking off the 2024 Employee Spotlight by introducing Peter Suga, who is our Network Engineer from Australia.

Hi Peter, do tell us more about yourself.

I was born in Slovakia and grew up near the country's highest mountains and the Carpathians. Also, this might be uncommon for most people, but I learned how to ski before I could even walk properly. I went through my studies with couple of broken bones from inline skating, and left few wrinkles on my parents' faces.

I actually completed my undergraduate degree in Information Systems at Czech Republic’s university. After graduating, I joined AT&T, and also spent some time working at Orange Business Services and Verizon as a consultant.

How did you end up in Australia?

One day back in 2013, I was walking along the streets with my then-girlfriend, and saw a banner that said “Work and Study in Australia”. We took that as a sign, packed our bags, bought the tickets for an extremely long flight, landed in Australia, and as what people say, the rest is history. 10 years later, we’ve long settled down with 2 beautiful daughters and living a blissful and happy life at Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Beginnings were not easy, but after focusing on our goal and working hard for it, we knew that everything is possible.

Could you share with us more about your work life here in Blue Wireless too?

Of course. I remember clearly the first time I entered the Blue Wireless office, there was this very strong impression that I will be sticking around for some time. The team were warm and friendly, and we always help each other out whenever needed. The team bonding sessions we have definitely helped in fostering an excellent working environment.
