Greif Boosts Business Continuity with Starlink Connectivity from Blue Wireless

Greif 800x800

With operations in more than 35 countries and over 250 sites worldwide, Greif, Inc., a global leader in industrial packaging products and services, needed a connectivity solution that could support their move to a more resilient and flexible network infrastructure.

That’s where Blue Wireless stepped in, delivering a fully managed Starlink-based LEO satellite service to enhance uptime and streamline deployment at production and remote sites globally.

As an authorized global reseller of Starlink, Blue Wireless combines next-generation satellite connectivity with hands-on service and support to help enterprise customers like Greif simplify operations and maintain high availability, even in the most remote locations.

Improving Uptime & Flexibility for a Global Manufacturing Network

Greif was in the process of transitioning from legacy, low-bandwidth and higher-cost circuits to an SD-WAN environment, requiring two diverse internet circuits per site to ensure high availability. However, using dual terrestrial lines still left a risk: a single point of failure in the local infrastructure.

For Greif’s IT team, the goal was not only connectivity diversity but also simplicity: less time spent on network deployment logistics and vendor management, and more time focused on core operations.

Our business processes depend on internet access, and by adding LEO satellite connections, which are fully diverse from our wired internet circuits, we further increase the uptime of our sites within our budget.

Fully Managed Starlink Service, Delivered End-to-End

Blue Wireless deployed its Global Managed LEO (GML) service using Starlink satellite technology across Greif’s global footprint. As an authorized reseller, Blue Wireless was able to directly supply, configure, and manage the Starlink solution as part of a broader connectivity strategy.

While the company had already begun deploying Starlink terminals at some sites, managing the logistics, setup, and maintenance of those deployments in-house presented operational complexities that diverted internal resources from core responsibilities.

For more efficient management, the service provides them with:

  • Local site surveys
  • Onsite hardware installation
  • 24/7 proactive monitoring
  • Global support coverage
  • Unified monthly invoicing

Greif’s existing Starlink kits were also migrated into the Blue Wireless framework, bringing them under one cohesive service model with streamlined support and centralized billing.

Our global standardized managed service and pricing, along with our global network of installers and support team, gives the Greif IT infrastructure team the flexibility to reach their strategic goals.
