Extended Network Core for Business

Extend Your Core Network Seamlessly - Anywhere

Remote and hard-to-reach sites often lack reliable fixed-line connectivity, creating challenges for operations, security, and real-time visibility. Layer 2 Wireless connectivity enables organisations to extend their existing network architecture securely and transparently to remote locations, without the cost, delays, or constraints of traditional wired infrastructure.

By delivering true Layer 2 (Ethernet) connectivity over cellular, remote sites behave as if they are directly connected to your core network.

All the Power of Layer 2

Now without the wires

True Extension

Wireless Layer 2 delivers transparent Ethernet, allowing edge locations to operate as a natural extension of the provider core. VLANs, broadcasts, multicast traffic, and existing addressing schemes are preserved without network redesign.

Rapid Site Enablement

New locations can be brought online in days rather than months. By removing dependency on metro-ethernet or leased lines, providers can accelerate customer onboarding and support temporary or fast-changing sites.

Fixed Infrastructure Resiliency

Multi-network SIMs and diverse cellular access provide inherent path diversity. This enables high availability for sites where fixed-line resilience is limited or unavailable.

MEF 3.0 Interoperability

Our MEF compliant wireless Layer 2 services ensure predictable performance, clearly defined service attributes, and interoperability across access technologies, simplifying integration into existing provider networks.

Scalable Expansion to the Edge

Extend Ethernet services to locations previously out of reach sites, supporting large-scale rollouts while maintaining centralised control, monitoring, and policy enforcement.

Mobile and On-the-Go Layer 2

Go beyond fixed locations to moving assets such as vehicles, vessels, and temporary deployments. Layer 2 allows applications, security policies, and network segmentation to stay intact even while in motion.

Limitations of Last Mile Wired Ethernet

Connecting Layer 2 Ethernet services to remote or hard-to-reach sites presents several technical and operational challenges, especially when fixed infrastructure is limited or unavailable. The key challenges include:

  • Limited Fixed-Line Availability

Layer 2 services typically rely on fibre, Ethernet, or leased lines. Many sites outside urban areas—or temporary and mobile locations—simply do not have access to suitable fixed infrastructure, or availability comes with long lead times.

  • High Cost and Long Deployment Times

Extending fibre or MPLS to new sites is expensive and slow. Civil works, wayleaves, and carrier provisioning can delay deployment by months, making traditional Layer 2 impractical for fast-moving or time-critical projects.

  • Latency and Performance Sensitivity

Layer 2 services are often used for latency-sensitive or deterministic applications. Wireless or long-distance links can introduce jitter, packet loss, or variable latency, which must be tightly controlled to meet service expectations.

  • Network Resilience and Availability

Remote sites are more exposed to single points of failure. Ensuring high availability for Layer 2—without traditional carrier diversity—requires multi-network access, intelligent failover, and resilient transport architectures.

The challenge is not just connectivity, it’s delivering true, secure, resilient, and quality Layer 2 Ethernet to sites where traditional wired infrastructure was never designed to reach.
