Employee Spotlight: Meet Fleming

Fleming hero

Hey Fleming! To get things rolling, tell us a bit about where you’re from and what life’s been like for you in the US.

I am from a little town right outside of Richmond, Virginia where I currently work. I’ve spent the past 8 years back and forth between Colorado and Virginia but finally settled down in Richmond for good 4 years ago with my wife Caroline. Caroline and I have been married for 2 years now and together have been to 46 US states in our camper! We both love to adventure and see as much of the world as we can, but we also absolutely love Richmond for its access to the outdoors, food scene, and walkability (compared to any other US city that is).

What led you to Blue Wireless? What stood out to you during the process, and what do you find most rewarding about working with the team in the US?

I know it might sound crazy to say, but believe it or not, as a small child I did not have dreams of providing wireless connectivity to global multi-national corporations. I joined Blue Wireless because the people won me over, plain and simple. My interview process was quick, simple, down to earth, and just gave me the confidence that this was the right place for me. Throughout my career, I had worked a handful of sales jobs in a variety of different fields, but none of them had the ethos or spirit that I have felt at Blue Wireless from day one.

Now, don’t get me wrong! I love the tech we get to work with and the clever ways I get to apply myself to solve our clients’ problems on a day-to-day basis. It’s the willingness of the people to support and collaborate that continue to make my job enjoyable.

You mentioned how much you value the collaboration and support within the team — could you tell us a bit more about your role at Blue Wireless and how the US team has evolved since you first came on board?

In my role, I lead Sales and Account Management for the America’s. That means that I work with our channel partners to educate, support, and design services for their sales teams and end customers. The work is the opposite of monotonous for me and it keeps me on my toes on a day-to-day basis. It’s rare that any two projects are the same and have the exact same requirements, so it lets me flex my creativity in a way that I think is rare in the connectivity space.

My job, at the end of the day, is to make it as easy to do business with us as possible. It’s both that simple, and that hard. There is a tremendous amount of latitude for how I can approach my job, which allows me to develop real and intentional relationships with my customers.

" The people Blue Wireless has pulled together seems to attract people from all different backgrounds, ways of life, and continents, that all have the same throughline – inquisitive and helpful. People here want to learn and grow, and there's a spirit and camaraderie of helping those around you. I’ll say it, the culture here rocks."

Outside of work, what kinds of things do you enjoy doing? Any hobbies, favorite activities, or creative outlets that keep you busy?

I love pretty much any, and all kinds of adventure including but not limited to: Mountain Biking, Climbing, Rafting, Hiking, and just a general love of good ole tomfoolery in the outdoors. Recently I’ve been getting into frisbee golf as well for a lower energy way to spend time outside.

I’ve become somewhat obsessed with the idea of urban homesteading of late as well, and have been constantly expanding my garden, canning, and cooking setups. My favorites to grow and preserve have been the cucumbers (I LOVE PICKLES), Tomatoes (pizza and pasta sauce galore!), and acorn squash. In 2025 alone so far this year, and with a teeny tiny bit of back-of-napkin math, we’ve reduced our grocery spend by 20% from our garden!

Lastly, what do you love most about being part of Blue Wireless, and why do you think others would enjoy working here too?

The People, the quality of life, and the opportunity for growth are the top things that come to mind. The people Blue Wireless has pulled together seems to attract people from all different backgrounds, ways of life, and continents, that all have the same throughline – inquisitive and helpful. People here want to learn and grow, and there's a spirit and camaraderie of helping those around you. I’ll say it, the culture here rocks.

The quality-of-life aspect really matters to me, and I think that can resonate really well with other people who have shared similar sales journeys as I have. At the end of the day, I don’t leave my job drained and exhausted like I have at other sales jobs. I get to show up, collaborate with my team, learn something new, and go home with the mental bandwidth to take on the rest of life. This is not some sales job that sends its people home wrung out and shriveled up like an old raisin.

Finally, the opportunity for growth at Blue Wireless is boundless. I mentioned the inquisitive mindset that people tend to have here, and that truly is a cornerstone of how to succeed here. If there is something or some role you want to grow towards or step into, the door will always be open and it's up to us to be curious enough to start working towards it.
